- Youth Charity Talent Contest

Beneficiary: Lions Quest Canada &VPGLC Youth Programs
Divisions of Contest:
Junior Division: Youth aged 12 or under
Senior Division: Youth aged above 12 but under 20
Family Division: At least 2 members with blood ties (Max. 6 persons)
Contest Format:
- All contestants can present any performances such as singing, dancing, playing musical instruments, performing magic shows, talkshows or any performing arts that can manifest their talents.
- There are two parts for the Talent Contest. Semi-final and Final Contests. To enter the Semi-final Contest, all contestants have to video-tape their performances (not more than 5 minutes and email it to Contact@VPGCFoundaton.ca. Please state the contestant’s name, age, phone no., and type of performance in your email. Contestants who can enter the Final Contest will be contacted individually about the details of the Final Contest.
- Each contestant has to pay a non-refundable registration fee $30 for participating in any one of the three divisions. The contestant may maximally participate in two different divisions but registrations must be submitted separately. Please e-transfer the registration fees to Treasurer@VPGCFoundation.ca.
- All contestants, for the Semi-final or Final Contest are encouraged to raise funds for the beneficiary. The contestant who has raised the biggest amount of donations will be presented a special award. Click here to download the donation form. Donors who donate $20 or more will be issued tax receipts. The completed donation form has to be emailed to Contact@VPGCFoundation.ca and money e-transferred to Treasurer@VPGCFoundation.ca. Please indicate the name of the contestant/group. Fundraising part of the contest is optional and will not influence the contest result.
- The acceptance of the videos for the Semi-final Contest will be closed at 9pm on Saturday, February 8, 2025.
- The Final Contest will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025 from 2pm to 5pm at the Aberdeen Centre. Each of the contestants will be given 5 minutes to present their performances on the stage. There are awards of First Prize, Second Prize and Third Prize for each division.
- Besides e-transfer, all donation forms can also be mailed to 2193-8700 McKim Way, Richmond, BC, V6X 4A5 before the event or submitted at the event on February 22, 2025. Cheques should be made payable to Vancouver Point Grey Community Foundation.
- The contest regulations are subject to change without prior notice. The decision of the judges will be final and no appeal will be accepted.
